Zarko Stojankovski immigrated to the United States in his early twenties because he believed he would become successful with his strong entrepreneurial spirit. Zarko is a franchise owner of a Tropical Smoothie Café located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The franchise model has helped Zarko become successful in his business due to the proven system the franchise already has, while also giving him the freedom to adapt his business practices to the market he’s in. Despite the fact they are associated with a national brand they still are a locally owned business and face the same struggles as everyone else.
One of Zarko’s employees, TJ, has been at Tropical Smoothie Café for nearly 6 years. He rose through the ranks to become a regular manager to now a general manager. TJ even aids another location to help them develop more general managers, and hopes to be a franchisee one day just like Zarko. He has already learned a lot and feels like he has made something of himself at Tropical Smoothie Café, wanting to become a franchisee so he can continue doing something that he enjoys doing.
