Nathan Marmor was introduced to franchising early in his life. In college, Nathan was serendipitously recruited by a CertraPro franchise owner in Flagstaff, Arizona. Nathan went to work for him as a painter. The owner introduced Nathan to the path for growth within franchising and all that it had to offer. Nathan shared his new-found opportunity with his father. After a career in corporate America, Nathan’s father decided to join his son and in 2007, the father-son duo made the leap to open their own CertraPro franchise in the Phoenix area. Since then, it’s been nothing but growth for Nathan and his dad.
With the painter at the center of his business, Nathan takes care of his employees. As the most customer-facing aspect of the business, Nathan ensures that there is a connection between his sales associate and painters. All of Nathan’s CertaPro employees get together every Thursday not just to discuss business, but to bond as a team.
For Nathan, franchising was the right opportunity because it became clear that the harder he worked and the more effort he put in, the more successful his business would be. The CertaPro model is perfect for Nathan and his family. Whether it’s having a flexible schedule so he can drop off and pick up his daughter from school or being able to touch the lives of people in his community, Nathan loves being a franchise owner.
