Becky Encinia, Chick-fil-A - Open for Opportunity

Becky Encinia’s journey into franchising began during her time working at a Chick-fil-A franchise while attending college. As the first in her family to graduate from college, Becky earned her degree in marketing without a clear direction for her career. It was the franchisee she worked for who saw her potential and suggested she consider Chick-fil-A as a long-term path. This led to a two-year internship and management development program at Chick-fil-A, which paved the way for her to become an internal candidate for franchise ownership. At just 24, Becky seized the opportunity and became a business owner. Reflecting on her journey, she describes it as a “blessing from God, timing was everything.” Focused on creating a supportive culture, Becky says, “We now have people staying on at Chick-fil-A as their career.” She also champions minorities in franchising, stating, “I wouldn’t have the opportunities I have if it wasn’t for the franchise model, and I will always be grateful for that.”
